Sponge City Construction Committee of China urban water supply and Drainage Association established in Beijing / Chairman Pan Xiaojun elected vice chairman

On January 9, 2020, the sponge City Construction Committee of China Association of urban water supply and drainage (hereinafter referred to as "sponge Committee of China Water Association") was successfully held in Beijing. More than 110 leaders and industry representatives from the Department of urban construction of the Ministry of housing and urban rural development, China Association of urban water supply and drainage, China Academy of urban planning and design and other units attended the conference. Zhongguancun sponge City Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "ZhongGuanCun sponge Institute") attended the conference as one of the sponsors.

The meeting deliberated and voted on the chairman, vice chairman, standing member and the chief and Deputy Secretary General of sponge Committee of China Water Association. Pan Xiaojun, chairman of Zhongguancun sponge Institute, was elected vice chairman of sponge Committee of China Water Association, and Zhao Jin, vice president, was elected Deputy Secretary General of sponge Committee of China Water Association.

Sponge Committee of China Water Association is mainly responsible for publicizing and implementing sponge city construction concept, promoting the combination and implementation of sponge city construction concept in various special planning such as urban water affairs, transformation of old urban communities, drainage and waterlogging prevention, treatment of black and smelly water bodies, urban water ecology, water environment, water safety, etc., and organizing and carrying out relevant technical research and consultation.
