Experts from China Water Association, Tongzhou District Water Bureau, China Planning Institute, China Construction Institute, China Urban Construction Institute, Zhongguancun sponge Institute, Beijing Municipal Institute, Beijing Construction Institute, Beijing Academy of water sciences, Beijing University of construction and other units were invited to make special topics on relevant policies, technical standards and specifications, construction engineering technology and experience, domestic and foreign sponge city construction cases and experience Reporting and communication.

Peng Zhigang, vice president of Zhongguancun sponge yard, gave a keynote speech on "sharing cases of sponge city construction and transformation in urban built-up areas". He introduced in detail the significance and principle of sponge city transformation in the built-up area of the city, and introduced the transformation scheme of sponge city in the existing built-up area of the city through four sponge transformation cases, namely, Xining Haihu square, Xicheng Yucai School, Jiahe Road area of Suining, and Dongping avenue of Suining. At the same time, he put forward corresponding suggestions for the construction experience.

The training publicized the national and Beijing Municipal Party committee and municipal government's policy requirements for promoting the construction of sponge cities, made clear the municipal government's determination to fully promote the construction of sponge cities in the city, laid a foundation for the high-quality completion of the pilot area and the construction of sponge cities in each area, further improved the awareness of relevant personnel on the construction of sponge cities, and achieved good results.
