Recently, the unveiling ceremony of Beijing Key Laboratory of urban water cycle and sponge City Technology (hereinafter referred to as "Key Laboratory") will be held. More than 30 people attended the event, including Yao Huaping, deputy director of Changping District Water Affairs Bureau, Wang Xiaoling, deputy director of future science city management committee, Xu zongxue, director of Key Laboratory, and representatives of four co construction units of Beijing Water Science and Technology Research Institute, Beijing Urban Planning Research Institute, Beijing hydrological station and Zhongguancun sponge City Engineering Research Institute.

　　
Professor Xu zongxue, director of the laboratory, and Wang Xiaoling, deputy director of the Management Committee of the future science city jointly unveiled the field test base of the future science city of the key laboratory. Relevant leaders and experts witnessed the grand unveiling ceremony. After the ceremony, leaders and experts at the meeting had in-depth discussions and exchanges on the achievements and problems of sponge city construction of Science City in the future. In the afternoon, the participants visited the exhibition hall of future science city and sponge city construction demonstration project, and conducted all-round communication and exchange with on-site technical experts based on the actual construction situation of sponge city.

In the future, science city is a key functional area for innovation and development in Beijing, and also one of the earliest areas for sponge city construction. The lab is located in the future science city, which provides a good platform for further technical research, project exchange and cooperation, and also provides important technical support for the construction and green development of the future science city sponge city.
