May sun, applause, laughter.
On May 14, the 12th China US Engineering Technology Symposium green city group symposium was held in Beijing. Through the theme of "R & D, R & D, construction of water conservancy projects" and "construction of new water resources", we can share the experience of water management and water management through the theme of "R & D, R & D, construction of water conservancy projects" and "water conservation" As a platform for exchange, promote the new development of sponge city construction facing ecological civilization.

Sponsored by the State Administration of foreign experts, the Beijing Municipal People's government, and the American Society of Chinese Engineers (CIE), the Beijing Institute of water science and technology, the Zhongguancun green smart sponge city ecological home industry alliance and other units jointly organized the event. Around the theme of "water environment improvement, sponge City Construction", more than a dozen well-known experts from China and the United States in the field of water ecology and hydrology were invited More than 130 experts, scholars and representatives of enterprises and institutions listened to the conference report.

Meng Qingyi, vice president of Beijing Water Science Research Institute, presided over the symposium. His humorous hosting style and fluent and fast foreign language created a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere for the conference. The high-quality reports of more than ten experts were highly praised by the participants.

Four American experts participated in the meeting and made a report. Before that, they had academic and scientific exchanges with China for many years. They had been to China for many times to participate in field research and technical exchanges. Therefore, they had deep research and experience on water environment and water ecological management in Beijing.

Professor Dr. Robert Pitt, Professor Emeritus Professor, Department of civil engineering, architecture and environmental engineering, School of engineering, University of Alabama, USA, is a well-known international expert. He has deep research on urban water quality, rainwater management, water quality and drainage management, etc. His report "Green Cities: Beijing water resources beneficial uses of stormwater" takes the rainfall characteristics of Beijing as an example, with detailed data and rich pictures, and systematically puts forward suggestions for the management of rainwater resources in Beijing.

Professor Dr. Wen C. Wang of San Jose State University in the United States is an elegant Chinese old gentleman. He graduated from Taiwan University in the early years, and once participated in the investigation on the environmental management of Yongding River in Beijing. Based on the current situation of Beijing's water environment, his report proposed solutions such as water recycling, groundwater recharge, water quality improvement, runoff restoration, urban drainage system improvement, and flood control improvement. He further proposed a sustainable water resources management plan for Beijing Green City, and suggested that the principle of sponge city should be included in the planning of stormwater management, with the objectives of providing The implementation plan should also include monitoring, assessment and modification.

Authority of the University of California's Santa Ana watershed management program Dr.MikeAntos The management mode of Santa Ana is introduced in detail. He introduced the model of dividing administrative regions by river basins, which is of great significance for China. In addition, he pointed out that reducing water demand and improving water use efficiency, watershed hydrology and ecosystem protection and restoration, water area restoration and cleaning, operation efficiency and transmission, innovative supply selection and other aspects are the elements of a virtuous cycle of water ecology. Only when all elements operate healthily can we have a good river ecological environment.

Zhou Yuwen, former vice president of School of construction and engineering of Beijing University of technology, Zhang Shuhan, chief engineer of Beijing Academy of water sciences, Zuo depeng, associate professor of Water Science Research Institute of Beijing Normal University, Gao shouyou, doctor of Beijing Municipal Research Institute, Peng Zhigang, vice president of Zhongguancun sponge City Engineering Research Institute, Meng Qingyu, chief engineer of Jinhe environmental protection company, and Peng Yue, general manager of Guanglianda water department, etc., attended the meeting Technical report. The topics they introduced include the fine source construction technology of sponge City, the moderate restoration of river base flow and sponge city construction, the theoretical research and application of water ecosystem health assessment, the practical cases of sponge city construction, the industrial construction of sponge City, the application of pipeline restoration technology in water environment treatment, and the integrated scheme of sponge city construction, operation and management informatization Etc.

A number of experts in the field of water governance and sponge city construction were represented in the Chinese report on the theme of water environment improvement and improvement, including Xie Yingxia, vice president of water affairs and Engineering Institute of China urban planning and Design Institute, Zhao Shiming, former consultant chief engineer of China Architectural Design Institute, pan Xiaojun, President of Zhongguancun sponge City Engineering Research Institute, and former China Water Conservancy and water conservancy Xiao Tao, deputy chief engineer of Electric Power Research Institute; Wang Qiang, chief engineer of Municipal Engineering Institute of Beijing Institute of urban planning and design; and representatives of Beijing Institute of water resources planning and design, Beijing Institute of landscape architecture design and research, China architectural design consulting company, China Power Construction Group, China Construction group, pan Hua group, Puhua environmental protection, Oriental Garden, etc.

After the special report meeting, some representatives visited the sponge city industrial base of Beijing and the rainwater utilization base of Taining in Changping District.

The symposium was co organized by Beijing Municipal Bureau of foreign experts, Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Beijing Foreign Affairs Office and Beijing Municipal Water Affairs Bureau. Beijing Taining Kechuang Rainwater Utilization Technology Co., Ltd., GuangLianda Technology Co., Ltd. and Beijing Jinhe water affairs construction group also participated in the work.

It is understood that the Sino US engineering and Technology Seminar (hereinafter referred to as the "China trade union") aims to build a high-level exchange platform in the field of engineering and technology between China and the United States, and carry out professional exchanges, consulting services and project cooperation focusing on improving the technical innovation ability and comprehensive management ability of Chinese enterprises, combining with the professional and technical advantages of the United States and the actual needs of Chinese enterprises. Since 1993, it has been held every two years, and has been successfully held for 11 times. It has put forward many constructive suggestions for many national key industries and achieved fruitful results.

This year's "China trade union" has set up seven special groups, namely, green city group, intelligent robot group, biopharmaceutical group, intelligent water conservancy group, equipment manufacturing group, upgrading and transformation group of coal chemical industry and new materials group, as well as a special forum.
