On May 14, sponsored by the State Administration of foreign experts, the Beijing Municipal People's government and the American Society of Chinese Engineers (CIE), Beijing Water Science and Technology Research Institute, Zhongguancun sponge City Engineering Research Institute, Beijing sponge city application integration industry innovation center, Zhongguancun green smart sponge city ecological home industry alliance Beijing Taining science and technology innovation Rainwater Utilization Technology Co., Ltd., GuangLianda Technology Co., Ltd. and Beijing Jinhe Water Construction Group Co., Ltd. jointly organized the 12th China US engineering technology seminar Green City Group Symposium in Beijing successfully.

Focusing on the theme of "water environment improvement and sponge city construction", the activity exchanged ideas and experiences of water environment improvement, water ecological governance and sponge city construction, emerging technologies and business models, explored innovation and development paths, and built a direct and effective platform for cooperation and exchange in the field of "water control" at home and abroad through theme reports, on-site visits, dialogues and sharing, Promote the new development of sponge city construction facing ecological civilization. More than a dozen well-known experts from China and the United States in the field of water ecology and hydrology have jointly contributed to a smart feast to help Beijing's water environment governance and sponge construction, which has won unanimous praise from the participants. More than 130 industry experts, scholars and representatives of enterprises and institutions from China and the United States attended the conference.
Meng Qingyi, vice president of Beijing Water Science Research Institute, presided over the symposium. His humorous style and fluent and fast foreign language created a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere for the venue.
Professor Dr. Robert Pitt, emeritus professor of the Department of civil, architectural and environmental engineering, Environmental Research Institute of the University of Alabama, USA, made a special report on "Green Cities: Beijing water resources beneficial uses of stormwater". He combined the rainfall characteristics of Beijing and systematically put forward suggestions on the management of rainwater resources in Beijing.
Zhang Shuhan, deputy chief engineer of Beijing Water Science and Technology Research Institute, made a special report on the construction of sponge city and the appropriate restoration of river base flow. He pointed out that for different underlying surfaces and sponge measures, through the establishment of a series based hydraulic connection, a multi-level rainwater runoff regulation system can be constructed, such as block plots, municipal pipe networks, river inlets and outlets, so as to form a "fresh water living source" supply channel, and moderately repair the river base flow.
Dr. Wen C. Wang, Professor of San Jose State University, made "sustainable water resources management for Beijing: a green city" In the special report of approach, solutions such as water recycling, groundwater supply, water quality improvement, runoff recovery, urban drainage system improvement and flood control improvement are put forward. In addition, a sustainable water resource management plan for Beijing green city is proposed, and the principle of sponge city is proposed to be included in the process of planning rainwater management.
Peng Zhigang, vice president of Zhongguancun sponge City Engineering Research Institute, made a special report "strive to build a high-end industry of sponge city". The report introduces the construction background, innovation mode and key work of Beijing sponge city application integrated industry innovation center (hereinafter referred to as "innovation center"). At the same time, he pointed out that as one of the top ten industrial innovation centers approved by Beijing at present, the innovation center will focus on breaking through common key technologies in the industry, accelerating the transformation and industrialization of cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements, and hope that relevant experts, institutions and enterprises in the field of sponge city will join in the innovation center system to jointly create high-end industries in sponge city.
University of California, Santa Ana subwatershed Senior Management Project Authority Dr.Mike Antos made the theme report "sustaining the Santa Ana River in Southern California Santa Ana". He introduced the management mode of Santa Ana River in detail, and proposed that reducing water demand and improving water use efficiency, watershed hydrology and ecosystem protection and restoration, water restoration and clean-up, operation efficiency and transmission, innovative supply options and other aspects are the elements of water ecological virtuous cycle.
Gao shouyou, deputy director of engineering technology research center of Beijing Municipal Engineering Design and Research Institute, made a special report on the practice and thinking of sponge city construction combined with water environment comprehensive treatment project. Based on the company's sponge city projects in Guyuan, Nanning, Changchun, Fuzhou and other places, he shared the technical points and implementation experience of the project construction.
Meng Qingyu, chief engineer of Beijing Jinhe Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., made a special report on the application of pipeline repair technology in water environment treatment - Taking maozhouhe project as an example. Taking the comprehensive water environment improvement project of Maozhou River Basin as an example, he introduced in detail the pipeline repair and renewal technologies such as UV curing pipeline repair technology and high-strength resin (iron resin) repair technology.
Peng Yue, general manager of Water Affairs Department of GuangLianda Software Co., Ltd., made a special report on BIM + IOT based sponge city application. Aiming at the difficulties in the construction of sponge City, he proposed to build a three-dimensional resource monitoring and management platform based on the space dimension of "sky, ground and underground" and the time dimension of "past, present and future".
Dr. Daniel shribsole, director of the Department of geography of the University of Western Ontario and chairman of the Canadian Association of geographers, made integrated water resources management and Ontario conservation Au thorities:Implications for Special report of the Sport City initiative. In view of the current situation of sponge city construction in China, he introduced the key elements of integrated rainwater and flood management and urban water resources management, and put forward suggestions for the development of sponge city in China.
Zuo depeng, associate professor of the Institute of water science, Beijing Normal University, made a special report on the theory of water ecosystem health assessment and its application in Beijing. In his report, based on aquatic organisms, assessment area and water body type, he combed the research results of domestic water ecological assessment technology, and proposed to establish water ecological assessment system to determine the water ecological health level according to the current situation of water ecology in China.
Zhou Yuwen, former vice president of the school of construction and engineering of Beijing University of technology and member of the sponge city expert committee of the Ministry of housing and urban rural development, made a special report on "refined source sponge city construction technology". He pointed out that sponge city construction must adhere to the principle of problem oriented and goal oriented, and adopt low impact development technology at the source according to local conditions.
Many experts from the field of water governance and sponge city construction also made suggestions and suggestions in this activity, including Xie Yingxia, former vice president of water affairs and Engineering Institute of China urban planning and Design Institute, Zhao Shiming, former consultant chief engineer of China Architectural Design Institute, pan Xiaojun, President of Zhongguancun sponge City Engineering Institute, Xiao Tao, former deputy chief engineer of China Water Conservancy and Hydropower Research Institute, Beijing Wang Qiang, chief engineer of Municipal Office of urban planning and Design Research Institute, and representatives of many units.
